Biographical notes 


 
 
  

Born in Lapedona (Ascoli Piceno), Icilio father, a doctor Monterubbiano. A Monterubbiano spent his youth, he studied in part and spent several periods of his life in the sixteenth century palace mother. He graduated from the University of Pisa in physical sciences and mathematics, initially devoted himself to education medium and then to scientific research. On 6 December 1879 he was appointed professor of physics R. Technical Institute of L'Aquila. In 1883 he was transferred at his request to R.  Dear Liceo Annibal of Fermo.  In 1884 began his studies of electrical resistance and conductivity of metal limature. In 1898 he moved to R Lyceum C. Beccaria in Milan as a teacher of physics. Find In 1889, as assistant to the famous physicist Galileo Ferraris, in the testing of the electrical lighting of Fermo.Studies of Calzecchi Onesti anticipate  almost six years those of the French physicist Branly and the Lodge in England, which is largely attributed to the discovery. This gave birth a lively controversy, in which the Calzecchi Onesti participated directly, claiming his invention.
