1851  June 12 was born in Penkhull, Staffordshire by his father and mother Oliver Grace nee Heath.


 


1860-65 He attended the Grammar School in Newport

   


1866-71 He studied physics and chemistry at the Wedgwood Institute in Stoke-on-Trent      

   


1875 Degree in Science at the Royal College of Science, London

 



1877 They married on August 22 with Mary Marshall House in Brampton, Newcastle LODGE CON LA MOGLIE marzo 1928

   


1879 He works as an assistant at the faculty of mathematics at the University College London

   


1881 Chaired by the chair of Physics at the University of Liverpool
( University College, Liverpool ) 1900 

 


   



1898 February 1 Presents application for the patent "Electric telegraphy" in which presented her Coherer
April 27 British Patent No 9712 for a speaker improved 


   



1899 President of the Physical Society of London (1899-1900)

 



1900 (1900-1919) E 'rector at Birmingham University

   
   


1901 President of the Society for Physical Research (1901-1904)


   


1913 President of the British Association (1913-1914)


   


1915 September 14 died son Raymond (First World War)

1940 He died on August 22 at Normanton House near Salisbury.
